Casa ASR is located on the second floor of a 19th-century building in Ragusa, which underwent restoration and structural consolidation in the 1990s.
Consequently, the apartment’s renovation project did not affect the structural components, focusing instead on redesigning the interior space.

A steel-framed mezzanine clad in lacquered wood panels divides the generous height of the living room into two levels. Detached from two sides of the walls, it preserves the original perception and reading of the space.
The sleeping area is accessed through a series of fixed and mobile panels that integrate storage units and utilities.
The master bedroom features a gray valchromat volume open on all four sides, serving as a partition and hallway element. Inside it sits a second solid volume in white lacquered wood, which functions as a walk-in closet.
